1975 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI Coupe

With $84k in recent mechanical work, this '75 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI Coupe was ready to run

The 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI, produced from 1974 through 1976 for the European market, is widely regarded as the spiritual successor to the legendary 1973 Carrera RS Touring. Built on the new G-series platform with impact bumpers and updated interior, it retained the heart of the RS with the 911/83 mechanically fuel-injected flat-six producing 210 horsepower. This combination offered nearly identical performance to the RS but with the refinements of the newer chassis.

This 1975 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI Coupe was imported from Portugal in 2022 and left the factory finished in Light Yellow, though it has since been repainted. The cabin is trimmed in Black leatherette with cloth inserts, and the five-digit odometer shows 13k km (~8k mi). In April 2025, Autosport Designs of Huntington Station, New York, carried out a comprehensive rebuild of the 2.7-liter flat-six and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, which included welding the case and installing billet camshafts. Receipts totaling approximately $84k for this work are included in the gallery, documenting a significant recent investment in bringing this rare Euro Carrera back to strong mechanical form.

Over the past twelve months, Carrera 2.7 MFI Coupes have averaged $221,900, with prices ranging from $126,302 to a high of $329,500 for a restored Japanese-market example sold at Air|Water earlier this year. Comps suggested this car should have landed in the $150,000 to $200,000 range, but it failed to sell at the lower end with a final bid of $169,999. Given the extensive $84k mechanical work completed earlier this year, holding out for more makes sense. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see this one back on the block before long.
