1975 911S Coupe Silver Anniversary Edition
Sure the engine may have needed a rebuild, but I'd pay up just for that interior

The 1975 911 Silver Anniversary Edition was the first of Porsche’s commemorative celebration models, built to mark 25 years of Porsche sports car production. A total of 1,063 examples were produced, with about 500 making their way to the U.S. Finished exclusively in Diamond Silver Metallic, the cars featured “Black-Look” chrome delete trim, Fuchs wheels, and a five-speed gearbox. Inside, they were fitted with a killer silver-and-black tweed upholstery, a Carrera-style three-spoke steering wheel, and a numbered plaque on the passenger side of the dash. Additional upgrades included a thicker rear anti-roll bar, making this limited-edition 911 both distinctive and highly specified for its time.
This 1975 Porsche 911S Coupe Silver Anniversary Edition is #427 of 1,063 examples built and shows 168k miles on a rolled odometer. Finished in Diamond Silver Metallic, it displays some wear, including chips on the passenger door and a small imperfection on the door’s leading edge. The front seats have been reupholstered in the correct OEM fabric to retain authenticity. The seller notes smoke and oil leaks from the engine and recommends a rebuild, but overall, it remains a complete and presentable Anniversary Edition.
Comps for 1975 911 Silver Anniversary Editions are few and far between. The last notable sale was in October 2023, when a ~119k-mile example brought $57,500, while a rough “project” car sold for $42,000 prior to that. Our Spotlight car presented better than the project, but with smoke and oil leaks suggesting an imminent rebuild, bidders priced that work in. It ended up tying the project comp, selling at a final bid of $42,000.
