1975 911S Targa Silver Anniversary

The first anniversary model in Porsche's lineup

The 1975 911S Silver Anniversary was introduced to celebrate Porsche’s 25th anniversary of sports car production in Stuttgart. Based on the 911S, it featured unique cosmetic touches including Diamond Silver Metallic paint, special tweed interior trim, and commemorative badging that set it apart from standard cars. Production was limited to 1,063 examples in both Coupe and Targa form, making it one of Porsche’s earliest special-edition 911s and an important precursor to the many anniversary models that followed.

This 1975 911S Targa Silver Anniversary came finished in Diamond Silver Metallic over Black leatherette with tweed inlays and showed 3,100 miles, though true mileage is unknown. It’s said to have remained with its previous owner for 30 years before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2026. While it presented decently overall, it did show a dent on the front apron and was missing its commemorative Anniversary dashboard plaque. Service in preparation for the sale included an oil change and replacement clutch cable.

We haven’t seen a Silver Anniversary Targa cross the block here in the U.S. since a 44,000-mile example sold for $61,500 back in December 2022. Looking at standard 1974–1977 911S Targas, values over the past twelve months have averaged $56,700, with a low of $31,500 and a high of $89,930 for a beautiful Minerva Blue example sold last June. Our Spotlight Car landed right in the mix, selling at a final bid of $60,000.
