1977 924 Martini Championship Edition

Shaken and stirred, this 924 had seen better days

The 1977 924 Martini Championship Edition celebrated Porsche’s 1969, 1970, 1971, and 1976 world racing titles with style and flair. Finished in white with matching white wheels, the car wore Martini Racing stripes that gave it instant presence. Inside, it featured red carpeting, red-and-black seats with blue piping, and Martini-striped headrests, making it the most striking interior ever fitted to a 924. A plaque on the center console proudly listed Porsche’s championship years, reminding drivers of the brand’s racing pedigree every time they got behind the wheel.

This 1977 Porsche 924 Martini Championship Edition shows just 24,000 miles on the odometer, having been sparingly driven and kept in hangar storage by a single family until the current owner acquired it in 2024. The white paint shows areas of fading with some rust around the fenders, and the original tires display wear from years of storage. A recent tune-up by CK Diagnostics in Pleasant Valley, New York, included cleaning and reassembling the intake system, servicing the K-Jetronic fuel distributor and injectors, treating the fuel system and gas tank, and completing a general tune-up. The brakes will need attention, and replacement of the rear hatch struts is recommended to prepare this Martini Edition for the road once again.

Martini Championship Editions are few and far between, as we’ve only seen one other example cross the block in the last twelve months—a 43,000-mile car that sold for a final bid of $19,000. With this car needing attention, less than half that number was expected, and that’s what we got, as our Spotlight car sold at a final bid of $8,150.
