1988 911 Turbo Cabriolet Modified

This 930 had all the hallmark-80s mods, but didn't attract much attention

Nothing screams the ‘80s like wild body kits and tuner 911 Turbos, and this 1988 911 Turbo Cabriolet certainly leans into the era. The bodywork on this 930 includes a 964-style flachbau front end, flared and vented rocker panels, 959-inspired side intakes, and a rear spoiler, all finished in a custom Blackberry paint.

Inside, it’s full ‘80s drama with White leather upholstery trimmed in Blackberry piping and accents. A matching Blackberry carpet set completes the look. Other touches include a White leather Dino steering wheel and a custom sound system with amp and speaker enclosure replacing the rear seats. Out back, the 3.3-liter flat-six has been upgraded with stainless-steel headers, an aftermarket wastegate tube, and an MSD ignition box. The listing also noted plenty of recent service.

Modified 930s can be tough to price. Over the past year, they’ve averaged $241,800 with a wide spread—from a low of $79,410 to a high of $307,930. I thought this one might break the $100k mark, maybe even reach toward $200k, but it came up short at a final bid of $83,911. Better luck next time.
