1988 944 Turbo S Silve Rose
This nice example fell short of a new twelve-month high

The 944 Turbo S was originally intended as a 1,000-unit run, finished exclusively in Silver Rose Metallic over a distinctive Burgundy Studio Plaid cloth interior. While Porsche ultimately built around 1,600 Turbo S models, only ~720 (depending on your source) were true “Silver Rose” examples. Under the hood, the uprated M44/52 engine produced 250 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque thanks to a larger KKK K26-8 turbocharger and revised engine mapping. Standard M030 suspension with progressive-rate springs, adjustable Koni shocks, larger anti-roll bars, and chassis stiffening gave the Silver Rose sharp, track-ready handling to match its unique looks.
This 1988 944 Turbo S Silver Rose was finished in the signature Silver Rose Metallic over the correct Burgundy Studio plaid cloth and showed 51,000 miles. Originally picked up in Germany through the Porsche Tourist Delivery program, it came to market with solid recent maintenance, including a timing belt and water pump service, new clutch cylinders, and a replacement windshield in 2025. A clean, well-kept example of one of the most distinctive 944 variants.
Over the past twelve months, Silver Rose Turbo S models have averaged $31,600 with a low of $17,750 and a high of $45,500 for a 40,000-mile example sold in August. With only two comps to work from, estimates for our Spotlight car sat in the $35,000-45,000 range. It landed toward the upper end, selling at a final bid of $42,500.
