1989 911 Turbo Coupe 5-Speed

This final-year, original-owner example was set to bring all the money

The 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo marked the final year of the legendary 930 generation, which first launched in 1975 as a homologation special for FIA Group 4 and 5 competition. Originally equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-six, Porsche increased displacement to 3.3 liters in 1978 to improve performance and drivability. The 1989 model year stands out not just as the end of an era but for one critical upgrade: Porsche finally paired the Turbo with the G50 five-speed manual gearbox, replacing the long-running four-speed 915.

This 1989 911 Turbo Coupe 5-Speed came finished in Grand Prix White over a Black leather interior and remained with its original owner from new. Showing 50,000 miles on a repaired odometer, the owner stated that only 191 miles were driven before it was fixed. Since 2025, approximately $23,000 in work has been completed including dry-ice cleaning of the underside, valve adjustments, oil leak repairs, and replacement of the A/C compressor, tires, battery, fuel filter, drive belts, air pump drive gear, and various oil lines.

Over the past twelve months, 1989 911 Turbo Coupe values have averaged $120,100, with a low of $52,856 and a high of $275,930 for a 13,000-mile example sold in January. While 50,000-mile comps generally sat in the $200,000–$235,000 range, our Spotlight Car was always destined to push beyond that thanks to its exceptional care and extensive service history from the original owner. It sold at a final bid of $277,000.
