1992 911 Carrera RS
Color and mileage pushed this '92 RS to a new twelve-month high

The 964 Carrera RS was Porsche’s modern homage to the 1973 911 Carrera RS, applying the same lightweight, no-compromise formula to the Carrera 2 using the race-ready Cup car as its foundation. Engineers removed nearly 300 pounds through extensive measures, including an aluminum bonnet, thinner glass, deleted sound insulation, omitted rust-proofing, magnesium Cup wheels, and the removal of power steering, power windows, rear seats, and other comfort items, bringing curb weight down to just 2,706 pounds. Power came from an upgraded 3.6-liter M64/03 flat-six producing 260 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque, achieved through carefully matched internals, a lightweight single-mass flywheel, simplified wiring, and revised engine management, resulting in one of the most focused road-going 911s of its era.
This 1992 911 Carrera RS was refinished in Maritime Blue over a Black leather interior with Blue inserts and showed 25,560 miles. Recently imported from Poland, translated service documentation indicated an engine removal with disassembly and cleaning, along with a full front and rear brake service. The car was fitted with aftermarket Speedline-style wheels and a non-OEM climate control system.
Over the last twelve months, 964 Carrera RS values have averaged $274,560, with a low of $170,250 and a high of $337,000 set by a 47,000-mile example finished in Rubystone. Rubystone consistently commands a premium, with Maritime Blue close behind, and when paired with the low mileage of our Spotlight car, the result was predictable. It went on to establish a new twelve-month high, selling for $346,500 all-in.
