1993 911 RS America

Four sales in a row for this RSA, but this time a little lower than expected

The 911 RS America was developed to fill the void in the North American market after the European 964 Carrera RS was deemed not street-legal for US buyers. Produced in 1993 and 1994 with a total of 701 units built, it offered a lighter, more focused alternative to the standard Carrera 2, shedding roughly 80 pounds. Standard equipment included the M030 sport suspension, 17-inch C2 Turbo wheels, and a fixed rear spoiler, while options were deliberately limited to a handful of items including a limited-slip differential, sunroof, air conditioning, and a stereo, preserving its stripped, driver-first focus.

This Black on Black 1993 911 RS America was a four-option car, equipped with limited-slip differential, Becker stereo, air conditioning, and a sunroof. Showing 57,000 miles, it was modified with Bilstein PSS10 shocks and an FVD Brombacher muffler, while recent service in 2024 consisted of replacing the taillight assembly and seals, fitting new tires, and recharging the A/C system with upgraded valves and fittings.

We’ve seen this RSA a number of times over the years, first selling in November of 2023 for $150,000 followed by sales of $171,911 in April of 2024 and $209,000 in June of 2025. That 2025 sale was the second highest price we’ve seen over the past twelve-months, only beaten by a 15,000-mile example sold last April. I expected the sales price to keep climbing, but it slid back below the $200k mark, hammering at a final bid of $195,000.
