1993 968 Clubsport

If it's not Maritime or Rubystone, don't expect over market

Introduced in late 1992 as a 1993 model, the Porsche 968 Clubsport was a lightweight, track-focused version of the 968 coupe—engineered for weekend racing but still road legal. Designed to be both affordable and performance-oriented, it stripped out non-essentials to shed weight and sharpen dynamics. The interior was bare-bones: no rear seats, manual window cranks, basic heating, and optional bucket seats in place of standard ones. Even the hatch release was a cable behind the driver’s seat. Under the hood, the 3.0-liter inline-four with VarioCam produced 240 hp, shared with the standard 968, but the CS benefitted from lowered suspension, stiffer setup, and available 17-inch wheels. With no airbags or powered accessories, it was never offered in the U.S., but we get them now thanks to Clubsports being over 25 years of age.

This 1993 968 Clubsport came finished in Black over Black and showed 136,000 km (~84k mi) on the odometer. It looked to be in nice condition with plenty of photographs in the gallery including paint meter readings and a pile of service records, which included a long list of replaced components in March of 2025. Overall, a solid car, but with some miles and not in one of the popular CS colors.

I mention color as when it comes to 968 Clubsports, color certainly drives prices. With that being said, and a bit of mileage, I didn’t see this one getting over the twelve-month average $51,500, probably selling in the $35-45k range. Well, bids made it into that range, but the seller wasn’t willing to let it go at a final bid of $44,000.
