1994 911 Turbo 3.6
Bidders paid up for this rare, low-mileage Turbo

The 911 Turbo 3.6, introduced in 1993, was Porsche’s answer to enthusiasts who had longed for a true turbocharged version of the 964’s 3.6-liter flat-six. After launching the 964 Turbo with a revised 3.3-liter carried over from the 930, Porsche finally delivered with the M64/50 engine, paired with a K27 turbocharger, producing 355 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. Performance was staggering for its time, with 0–60 mph achieved in just 4.0 seconds and the quarter-mile in 12.4 seconds. Limited to just 1,437 examples worldwide, the 911 Turbo 3.6 was not only the most powerful regular-production Porsche available in America at the time, but it has since become one of the most desirable 964 variants, celebrated for its blend of raw turbocharged performance and rarity.
This 1994 911 Turbo 3.6 came finished in Black over a Black leather interior and included factory options such as polished wheels, an electric sunroof, and heated supple leather seats with adjustable lumbar support. Updates consist of OEM Speed Yellow seatbelts and a Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) head unit and service is up to date with major work performed at Isringhausen Imports in April 2024 that included replacing the serpentine belt, air filter, spark plugs, brake fluid, and belt tensioner. Showing just under 28,000 miles, it presents as a well-kept and lightly modified example of Porsche’s legendary Turbo 3.6.
Over the past twelve months, 964 Turbo 3.6 values have averaged $394,100, with sales ranging from $243,828 on the low end to a record-setting $621,000 for a 12,500-mile example at Monterey this year. Mileage comps for our Spotlight car pointed to a $375,000–$475,000 result, but it exceeded expectations, hammering at a strong $545,000. That figure puts it in rare company, approaching the result of a recent X88-equipped example.
