1994 RUF RCT EVO
Two rare RUFs in one year, with very similar specs

The RUF RCT, short for “RUF Carrera Turbo,” was developed in the early 1990s as a more refined and usable alternative to the company’s more extreme creations. Starting with naturally aspirated 964 Carreras, RUF transformed the cars with turbocharging, revised suspension, aerodynamic enhancements, and extensive chassis engineering. Early RCTs produced around 385 horsepower, but the later RCT EVO incorporated 993 cylinder head technology and pushed output to roughly 425 horsepower. Blending supercar performance with everyday usability, the RCT became one of the ultimate air-cooled turbocharged road cars of its era.
This 1994 RUF RCT EVO Widebody is a real W09 VIN RUF finished in Connaught Green over Black and showed just 5,784 miles. Originally completed by RUF in May 1994, it later returned to Pfaffenhausen in 2020 for a full EVO conversion. The process involved stripping the car to a bare chassis before ice blasting, inspection, and reassembly, along with major upgrades including an integrated leather-trimmed roll cage, rain gutter removal, sunroof delete, rebuilt transmission, Bilstein sport suspension, RUF brakes, revised aero, lightweight interior touches, and refinished 18-inch RUF wheels. Documentation shows over $60,000 invested in the EVO conversion work alone.
As you can imagine, real RUF RCTs rarely cross the block. In fact, we’ve only seen one other example over the past year, and it was remarkably similar to our Spotlight Car, originally a Green RCT later upgraded to EVO specification. That car featured a Brown interior and showed just 1,600 miles when it sold earlier this year for $1,242,500. Our Spotlight Car, despite slightly higher mileage, still brought an impressive $1,032,150.
