1995 911 Carrera RS Clubsport

Low miles and a special color brought out the bidders on this rare 993

The 993 Carrera RS Clubsport was the most extreme evolution of the air-cooled 911 RS lineage, created to homologate the Carrera for BPR GT3 and GT4 racing and give the most dedicated customers a road-legal race car. Based closely on the Carrera Cup car, it shed every ounce of excess weight, featuring thinner glass, aluminum panels, and a completely stripped interior with only the essentials. A fully welded roll cage increased body rigidity by 40 percent, and the suspension was extensively reworked with adjustable coil-overs, ball-jointed top mounts, and thicker anti-roll bars. The Clubsport also stood apart visually with its larger front splitter and aggressive bi-plane rear wing, underscoring its singular focus on track performance.

This 1995 911 Carrera RS Clubsport is one of just 227 cars factory-equipped with the M003 Clubsport package. Delivered new to Austria, it was finished in the iconic Riviera Blue and now shows approximately 39,000 km (~24k mi). The car was acquired by its current owner in 2018 and has since received plenty maintenance, including June 2025 service work addressing oil leaks, brake servicing, and replacement of the front tires, spark plugs, and a rear trailing arm. The side skirts were replaced in 2025, and the front splitter was previously refinished. The only downside? It was offered out of the UK.

Over the past twelve months I have ZERO RS Clubsport comps as they come up rarely. Looking back five years, only eight have surfaced at auction, with just one failing to sell. Prices have averaged $317,600, with a low of $258,798 and a high of $423,000. Given the low mileage and the Riviera Blue finish, this example was always going to attract serious money. And bring the money it did with final bid of $539,080, despite being located across the pond. Unfortunately, that wasn’t quite enough for the seller, as it went unsold.
