1998 911 Carrera S 6-Speed
Paintwork held back this Aerokit-clad C2S from a new high

The 993 Carrera S represented the ultimate naturally aspirated evolution of the Carrera 2, combining standard Carrera mechanicals with the widebody shell of the Turbo. Powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six producing 285 horsepower, it retained rear-wheel drive and naturally aspirated character, forgoing both turbocharging and all-wheel drive. With an additional three inches of rear width, a lowered ride height, and 17-inch alloy wheels in place of the standard 16s, the Carrera S delivered Turbo looks with purist intent, with just ~3,714 examples were produced.
This 1998 911 Carrera S 6-Speed was finished in Dunkelblau over a Cashmere Beige and Black leather interior and showed 48,852 miles. It was optioned with the rare factory Turbo II Aerokit and featured Bilstein coilovers along with an Alpine head unit. The car had received a full respray in its original color, presenting as a well-kept and tastefully modified example.
Over the past twelve months, 993 Carrera S unit volume totaled 31 cars with a 71% sell-through rate, with prices averaging $175,432, ranging from a low of $101,500 to a high of $255,000 set by a 44,000-mile Glacier White example fitted with an aftermarket AeroKit-style wing. Our Spotlight car sold at a final bid of $222,000, or $233,100 including buyer’s fee. With its factory AeroKit and desirable Dunkelblau color, it may have challenged the top end of the range had it retained original paint and come with more complete documentation.
