2003 911 Carrera Coupe 6-Speed
A strong result for a 100,000+ mile 996.2

The 996.2 Carrera was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2001 for the 2002 model year and marked a meaningful evolution of the water-cooled 911. Most notably, it received a revised headlight design that moved away from the controversial “fried egg” look of the earlier 996.1. Under the skin, displacement grew to 3.6 liters for an approximate 20-horsepower gain, paired with a stiffer body shell boasting 25% greater torsional rigidity, revised suspension with firmer springs and adjustable dampers, and improved aerodynamics that reduced both front and rear lift.
This 2003 911 Carrera Coupe 6-Speed was finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Graphite Gray leather interior and showed 104,500 miles. Factory options included 18-inch Turbo Look II wheels, Xenon headlamps, and aluminum and carbon trim for the brake handle and shifter. Upgrades consisted of an LN Engineering IMS bearing kit, a 997 GT3 short shifter, and 997 GT3 side skirts, and the car was supported by a binder full of service records along with a clean CarFax.
Over the past twelve months, 996.2 Carrera Coupes have averaged $28,500, with a low of $15,996 and a high of $44,500 for a 36,000-mile X51-equipped example. Mileage comps today sit in the $15–25,000 range, and our Spotlight Car last sold in July 2024 for $31,000. It exceeded both numbers this time, hammering at a final bid of $33,000.
