2003 911 Carrera Targa 6-Speed
A solid price for a Targa with a branded title

Making its debut in 2001 as part of the second generation 996 lineup, the 996 Targa stuck with the “greenhouse” Targa top first seen on the 993. But unlike the 993 version, the 996’s Targa system offered a rear glass hatch for storage access. A cool innovation that I for one wish was a normal feature on 911s.
This 2003 911 Carrera Targa 6-Speed came finished in Lapis Blue Metallic over a Graphite Gray leather interior and showed 67,000 miles on the odometer. While the car looked to be in nice condition, it had a branded title due to a manufacturer buyback and the seller noted that the glass roof slides back slowly, which could be a pricey fix.
Over the last twelve months 996 Targas have averaged $29,700 with a low of $17,200 and a high of $63,500 for an 8,000-mile example sold back in March of last year. Our Spotlight Car sold at a final bid of $25,250, not too bad considering the title brand and milage comps in the $20-35,000 range.
