2004 911 Carrera 40th Anniversary Edition 6-Speed
Even though it had some miles, this 40th Anniversary went hunting for a new twelve-month high

Introduced in late 2003, the 911 Carrera 40th Anniversary Edition celebrated “40 Fast Years” of the 911 with just 1,963 examples built. Based on the narrow-body Carrera, it came standard with the coveted X51 Powerkit, raising output to 345 horsepower, along with a limited-slip differential and M030 sport suspension. Finished exclusively in GT Silver Metallic over a Natural Grey full-leather interior, the Anniversary model also featured polished 18″ Carrera II lightweight wheels, a Turbo-style front bumper with painted air inlets, and unique aluminum trim accents inside. Each car wore a special “40 Jahre 911” badge, marking it as one of the most distinctive 996 variants produced.
This 2004 911 Carrera 40th Anniversary Edition is #1,136 of 1,963 produced and shows 53k miles. Finished in GT Silver over Natural Grey leather, it has been modified with Bilstein dampers, a Tubi exhaust system, and 200-cell catalytic converters. A replacement engine was installed at approximately 16k miles by Pfaff Porsche in Vaughan, Ontario, reportedly following an IMS-bearing failure in the factory motor. More recent service included a water pump and hood strut replacement in December 2022, followed by an oil change and new air filter, spark plugs, and ignition coils in September 2023.
Over the past twelve months, 911 Carrera 40th Anniversary Editions have averaged $38,700, with a low of $27,935 and a high of $43,919. Recent comps were all trading north of $40,000, which is exactly where this example landed, selling for $45,250 and setting a new twelve-month high.
