2004 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet 6-Speed

Often overshadowed by the Coupe, the 996 Carrera 4S Cabriolet should be on your radar

While the 996 Carrera 4S Coupe often garners much of the spotlight, don’t overlook the Carrera 4S Cabriolet, which delivered the same widebody Turbo-inspired look with the added thrill of open-air driving. Introduced a year after the coupe, it paired the naturally aspirated M96 flat-six and all-wheel drive from the Carrera 4 with the broader stance and stiffer suspension of the Turbo, giving it sharper handling and more presence on the road.

This 2004 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet 6-Speed comes finished in Slate Grey Metallic over Black leather with a Graphite Gray soft top and shows 85k miles on the odometer. It rides on aftermarket 19″ five-spoke wheels with Bilstein dampers. Significant mechanical work has been performed including a 2017 IMS bearing replacement along with timing chain components, oil pump, and head gaskets. Subsequent maintenance brought new shock mounts, sway bar drop links, engine mounts, catalytic converters, and most recently a new battery in August 2025. The listing also included a June 2024 oil-analysis report in the gallery, complementing detailed photos of this well-maintained C4S Cabriolet.

Over the past twelve months, 996 Carrera 4S Cabriolets have averaged $34,100, with a low of $15,556 and a high of $65,000. Mileage comps put this particular car between $20,000 and $35,000 with it selling right in that range at a final bid of $29,500. I would have preferred to see a black soft top and stock wheels, but with the extensive service history, this was a fair deal for both sides.
