2005 911 GT3

Low miles = new record

The 996.2 GT3 debuted in 2003 for the 2004 model year and marked the first time the GT3 officially reached US shores. A meaningful evolution over the earlier 996.1, it featured a more powerful 3.6-liter Mezger engine producing 381 horsepower, along with six-piston front brakes, revised suspension tuning, updated headlight styling, and a larger fixed rear wing. The M96/79 engine incorporated lightweight pistons and connecting rods along with drive-by-wire throttle control, resulting in quicker acceleration, a higher redline, and a sharper overall driving experience.

This 2005 911 GT3 showed just 7,657 miles and was finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior. It was optioned with aluminum instrument dials and door sills, a thicker steering wheel, and Porsche Exclusive carbon and aluminum interior trim. Accompanied by its build sheet, service records from current ownership, and factory accessories, it presented as a very nice low-mileage example.

Over the past twelve months, 996.2 GT3 values have averaged $111,285, with a low of $95,000 and a high of $134,000 set by a 14,000-mile Black example last October. With roughly half the mileage of that previous high-water mark, a new record felt almost inevitable. Our Spotlight car delivered, selling at a final bid of $150,000, or $157,500 including buyer’s fees.
