2005 Boxster S 6-Speed
Color combo and service history sent this 987 to the top of comps

The 987 Boxster debuted at the Paris Motor Show as a major evolution of the 986 it replaced. While the mid-engine formula remained, the 987 brought significantly updated styling with more pronounced fenders and headlights inspired by the Carrera GT, moving away from the shared look of the 986 and 996. Inside, material quality and ergonomics took a major step forward, while chassis refinements and improved engines made the car sharper and more refined overall. The result was a Boxster that felt more premium, more capable, and more distinctly Porsche.
This 2005 Boxster S 6-Speed came finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over Stone Gray leather and showed 90,000 miles. Nicely optioned with the Preferred Package, heated Sport Seats, bi-xenon headlights, 18-inch Boxster S wheels, and BOSE, it also came with service records dating back to 2011. Recent work included a starter motor and fuel pump in June 2023 along with a fuel pump flange in July 2024. A nice-looking, well-kept car overall, though it did show a ding on the CarFax.
Over the past twelve months, 987 Boxster S values have averaged $24,200, with a low of $10,500 and a high of $41,500 for a 19,000-mile example sold last October. It seems the color combination and strong service history outweighed the damage noted on the CarFax, as our Spotlight Car sold near the top of estimates at a final bid of $19,500.
