2007 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet 6-Speed Modified

An engine swap we've never seen before helped this high-mileage 997 beat standard comps

We’ve seen plenty of interestingly modified 997s here over the years. Everything from punched out Nickies engines to X51 mods and even a handful of V8s. But we’ve never seen anything quite like this 2007 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet 6-speed.

Finished in Black on Black and showing 142,000 miles on the odometer, this 997s engine was swapped with a Turbo K24 Honda inline-four. And it wasn’t just your standard K24 swap either as it featured all of the Honda-tuner parts you’d expect on a highly-modified Civic hatch.

The internals feature Wiseco pistons along with Manley connecting rods, King rod bearings, and ARP head studs. The Intake & Fuel system features plenty of work from the likes of Skunk2 Racing and the turbo system features a Boostlab 58X turbocharger with a 3.5” intercooler. The engine is managed through a Link Extreme standalone ECU and the car has a custom wiring harness keeping it all together. I’ve never seen anything like this, and I’m not sure we ever will again.

Obviously there are zero comps for a build like this, but had this been your average C4S Cabriolet with that high of mileage, comps would put it in the $20-30,000 neighborhood. Our Spotlight car sold, however, at a final bid of $39,997. Better than your standard car, but I’m sure a ways off of what it cost to build. Wild.
