2009 Cayenne GTS
A ton of Cayenne, for not a whole lot of money

First introduced in 2008, the Porsche Cayenne GTS carved out a niche as the driver’s choice in the lineup, slotting between the Cayenne S and the Turbo. It was powered by a naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8 producing 405 horsepower, giving it a distinctive character compared to its turbocharged sibling. To match the performance, Porsche fitted the GTS with a lower, sport-tuned suspension that sat nearly an inch lower than the S, along with standard 21-inch wheels and wider fenders for a more aggressive stance. A unique roof spoiler and quad exhaust tips completed the look, while the chassis tuning made it sharper and more responsive on the road. The result was a true enthusiast’s SUV at a time when that concept was still relatively rare.
This 2009 Porsche Cayenne GTS is a high-mileage example showing 152k miles and came finished in Meteorite Gray Metallic over a Stone Gray interior. While presenting decent enough overall, it showed the wear expected of its age and mileage. The exterior has faded paint on the spoiler and rear hatch, hazy headlights with a missing washer cover, and curb rash on the wheels. Inside, the leather seats and trim show use, and the headliner is beginning to sag. The seller noted several intermittent issues, including HVAC servos, parking sensors, and the speedometer, along with a clunk occasionally heard from the front suspension and tailgate struts due for replacement. Despite the flaws, it remains a running and driving GTS, with all the looks and power that come with it.
Over the last twelve months, first-generation Cayenne GTS models have averaged $22,500, with prices ranging from a low of $7,500 to a high of $64,000. Given its high mileage, cosmetic flaws, and noted mechanical issues, our Spotlight Cayenne GTS looked poised to set a new low, but instead tied it, ultimately selling for $7,500.
