2011 911 GT3 RS

😳

The 2010–2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997.2) took the already hardcore GT3 platform and made it even more track-focused. Powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six producing 444 horsepower, the RS paired its naturally aspirated power with a six-speed manual transmission featuring shorter ratios for improved acceleration. Compared to the GT3, the RS was lighter, featured a wider track for greater stability, and generated increased downforce through revised aerodynamics. Built as a road-legal race car, it retained the purity of a manual gearbox and a high-revving engine while delivering sharper handling and a more visceral driving experience.

This 2011 911 GT3 RS was finished in Gray Black with Red wheels and accents over a Black leather and Alcantara interior with Red seat belts and showed just 683 miles on the odometer. It came without the typical side graphics and included the optional Sport Chrono Package and PCCB brakes. With such low mileage, the car was as perfect as you’d expect, featuring a clean CarFax, documented service history, and single ownership.

Over the last twelve months, 997.2 RS models have averaged $281,800 with a low of $251,000 and a high of $329,888 for a 10,000-mile example in a similar spec. To find mileage comps, you’d have to go back to December 2023 when a 490-mile example from The White Collection sold for $412,000. Given that, a bid around $400,000, maybe a bit more, was expected. But expectations were blown away as our Spotlight car sold at a final bid of $575,000. With low-mileage 4.0s now over $1m, that number might not seem all that unreasonable.
