2011 911 GT3 RS
The second example to top $500k, and it even had some miles

The 997.2 GT3 RS represents one of the final truly analog modern Porsches, combining raw driver engagement with race-derived engineering. At its core is the last evolution of the Mezger 3.8-liter flat-six in a standard RS, revving to 8,500 rpm and producing 450 horsepower. Paired with a 6-speed manual and hydraulic steering, it delivers a highly connected driving experience. Compared to the standard GT3, the RS featured shorter gearing, dynamic engine mounts, and a wider rear body for improved grip, along with lightweight components like aluminum doors and a carbon-fiber rear wing, reinforcing its track-focused intent.
This 2011 911 GT3 RS came finished in Grey Black with White Gold accents over a Black leather interior featuring aftermarket Yellow-accented plaid inserts, along with Yellow seat belts and door pulls. Showing 10,000 miles, it was well optioned with PCCB brakes, Front Axle Lift, Sound Package Plus, and several Exclusive touches. Additional modifications included an aftermarket roll cage and air intake. An excellent example of one of Porsche’s best.
Over the past twelve months, 997.2 GT3 RS values have averaged $407,100, with a low of $294,997 and a high of $575,000 for a 683-mile example in Grey Black with Red accents. The closest comp to our Spotlight Car, with 11,687 miles, sold for $420,997 last September. Our Spotlight Car surpassed that result, selling at a final bid of $516,997 and becoming just the second example to cross the $500k mark online.
