2014 Cayman 6-Speed

Strong money thanks to one heck of an interior spec

The 981 Cayman debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show in late November 2012 as a comprehensive rework of the outgoing 987. It introduced a lighter and stiffer aluminum-hybrid chassis, a 60 mm longer wheelbase, wider tracks, and a body that was up to 35 kg lighter thanks to increased aluminum content, while torsional rigidity improved by roughly 40%. Styling became more aggressive with sculpted surfaces, larger side intakes, a lower stance, and a rear spoiler integrated into the taillights, and the interior was redesigned with a higher center console and layout inspired by the 991-generation 911 and Panamera.

This 2014 Cayman 6-Speed was finished in White over a Yachting Blue interior and showed 69,000 miles. It was optioned with the Premium Package, 19-inch Boxster S alloy wheels, SportDesign steering wheel, BOSE, and more, and featured an aftermarket head unit with the original included. The car was supported by a clean CarFax and ample service history for a very nice and well cared for early 981.

Over the past twelve months, 981 Cayman values have averaged $34,100, with a low of $23,500 and a high of $45,000 set by a 33,000-mile PDK-equipped example. Mileage comps put our Spotlight Car in the $25-35,000 range, but it outperformed thanks to condition and that beautiful Yachting Blue interior.
