2016 Boxster Spyder
This little Spyder came along and beat mileage comps, eight-handedly

Making its debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show, the 981 Boxster Spyder was the most powerful and lightweight Boxster to date. As the flagship of the model line, it shared its 3.8-liter flat-six with the Cayman GT4 and 911 Carrera S, delivering 375 horsepower exclusively through a 6-speed manual gearbox. To cut weight, Porsche replaced the power top with a manually operated canvas roof, swapped interior handles for fabric pulls, and deleted the radio and A/C, both of which could be added back at no cost. Aluminum body panels, lightweight wheels, and a smaller GT steering wheel kept the curb weight to just 2,899 pounds. Only 2,486 units were built, with 829 for North America.
This 2016 Boxster Spyder came finished in striking Sapphire Blue Metallic over a Black leather and Alcantara interior and showed 19,800 miles on the odometer. Factory options included the Infotainment Package with Bose, Adaptive Sport Seats, and Silver Deviated Stitching. The soft top was replaced in 2024 and new tires were installed in 2025, with plenty of additional service history documented in the gallery. Also included in the sale is a set of 20” HRE rims that are…. interesting to say the least. Good thing it had the originals.
Over the past twelve months, 981 Spyders have averaged $94,000, with sales ranging from $81,500 to a high of $130,000 for a low-mile, Paint-to-Sample Mexico Blue example. Mileage comps placed our Spotlight Car somewhere between $80,000 and $95,000, but it exceeded expectations, hammering at $105,481.
