2016 Boxster Spyder
PTS over miles. All day, every day

The 2015–2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder was the ultimate expression of the 981-generation Boxster, combining lightweight design with a more powerful engine and sharper handling. Unlike its 987 predecessor, which used a tuned version of the Boxster S engine, the 981 Spyder was fitted with the 3.8-liter flat-six from the 911 Carrera S, producing 375 horsepower. The engine was paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and complemented by a standard limited-slip differential and Porsche Torque Vectoring for improved cornering dynamics. The chassis sat 20 mm lower than the standard Boxster on a sportier suspension, and the sports exhaust system amplified the car’s naturally aspirated soundtrack. Designed with a purist focus, the Spyder combined the Boxster’s open-top appeal with serious performance credentials.
This 2016 Boxster Spyder is finished in Paint-to-Sample Mexico Blue over a Black leather and Alcantara interior with red stitching. Showing just 3,800 miles, it was optioned with desirable features including carbon-fiber bucket seats, a BOSE sound system, and more, bringing its original MSRP to $100,900. The car is presented in excellent condition inside and out and is offered with a Porsche trickle charger, car cover, and a complete set of service records.
Over the past twelve months, 981 Boxster Spyders have been holding steady with average prices around $90,000, a low of $69,050, and a high of $111,000 for a 396-mile example finished in Racing Yellow. While our Spotlight car didn’t have the low mileage, its stunning PTS Mexico Blue finish was all it needed to set a new twelve-month high, selling at $130,000.
