2017 911 Carrera S Endurance Racing Edition

We haven't seen one sell in years, did this one buck the trend?

The 2017 911 Carrera S Endurance Racing Edition debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed as a celebration of Porsche’s return to and success in top-level endurance racing. Based on the 991.2 Carrera S, it came in either White, Red, and Black with a special livery inspired by the 919 Hybrid LMP1 cars, along with black satin wheels and special interior details. Mechanically, it retained the 420-horsepower twin-turbo flat-six and came generously equipped with options like PASM Sport Suspension, Sport Chrono, and Sport Exhaust. Limited to just 235 examples worldwide, it tied Porsche’s road cars directly to one of the brand’s most successful modern racing programs.

This 2017 911 Carrera S Endurance Racing Edition came finished in Black with the Silver livery over a Black interior and showed 50,500 miles. It had a few minor blemishes here and there, but honestly, it was refreshing to see one that’s actually been driven. Recent service records ranged from 2021 through 2024, with the most recent entry being an oil change in October 2024. Overall, a nice, well-used example of one of the more interesting special-edition 991.2s.

This is just the second Endurance Racing Edition we’ve seen cross the block in the past twelve months, the other being a 26,700-mile example that failed to sell at $86,000 last July. To find a sold comp, you have to go all the way back to January 2024, when a White 15,000-mile car brought $114,500. Our Spotlight Car failed to sell as well, ending at a final bid of $79,000.

TOGETHER WITH PORSCHE SALT LAKE CITY

There are Porsche Centers, and then there are PORSCHE CENTERS. The newly opened Porsche Salt Lake City is firmly the latter. Established in 1958, Porsche Salt Lake City is one of the oldest Porsche centers in the United States, now paired with one of the most advanced facilities in the network.

The new space spans over 100,000 square feet, with every detail considered. A 30-bay service center anchors the facility, featuring extra-wide bays, in-ground lifts, and custom Italian DEA toolboxes, a first for a Porsche Center. Throughout the building, Apple-powered workstations with dual Mac Studio monitors allow seamless plug-and-play capability for Brand Ambassadors. Below, a massive parking structure houses up to 100 vehicles and features a custom, non-traditional photo booth that reflects the scale and intent behind the entire operation.

A huge congratulations to Gavin and his team on what is quickly becoming a true destination for those passionate about the brand. If you find yourself near Salt Lake City, it’s well worth the visit.
