2017 911 Endurance Racing Edition

A celebration of Porsche's racing success fails to sell, yet again

The 911 Carrera S Endurance Racing Edition, unveiled at Le Mans in 2016, was a limited-production 991.2 Carrera S celebrating Porsche’s motorsport heritage while offering customers a road car infused with track-oriented features. Built by Porsche Exclusive, it featured motorsport-inspired livery in White, Guards Red, or Black with contrasting graphics, high-gloss black exterior accents, and 20-inch Carrera S wheels. Inside, the cabin included carbon trim, red seat belts, a red 12 o’clock steering wheel marker, and “Porsche Intelligent Performance” embossing. Mechanically, it combined the 420-hp twin-turbo flat-six with the Sport Chrono Package, PASM Sports suspension, rear-axle steering, and PDCC, enhancing agility and responsiveness. The Endurance Racing Edition embodied Porsche’s tradition of translating racing success into driver-focused road cars while honoring the marque’s endurance racing legacy.

This 2017 911 Carrera S Endurance Racing Edition came finished in Black with Silver graphics over a Black leather interior and showed 26,700 miles on the odometer. Along with the noted factory options, this example also featured a dealer-installed X51 Carrera Power Kit for a slight bump in horsepower. Overall, this Endurance Racing Edition looked to be in very nice condition and was well maintained, with consistent service history on the CarFax.

As you can imagine, Endurance Racing Editions are few and far between, with this car being the only U.S. example we’ve seen hit the market since January 2024. It last crossed the block two months ago, failing to sell at a final bid of $80,000. This time around, it brought a bit more, with a final bid of $86,000. Unfortunately, it went unsold again. Probably should have taken that bid.
