2023 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America Edition

What's the market's appetite for this very special 992?

Built to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the 356 America Roadster, the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America Edition was a special edition limited to just 115 units and featured a special color palette. All examples came finished in a special Azure Blue 356 paint with White and Red accents and White wheels with Red and Blue pinstriping. On the inside, the Black leather interior features Guards Red and Pebble Gray stitching with “America” embossed on the armrest.

This 2023 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America Edition shows just 431 miles on the odometer and is highly specced with options such as PCCB brakes, Sport Seats, Front Axle Lift System, Premium Package, and more for a total MSRP of $226,310.

As you can imagine, for a car with such low miles, it is in perfect as-delivered condition. The car has received XPEL paint protection film and comes with all accessories, books, and keys, and is ready to sit in someone’s collection of special Porsche models.

This is now the second America Edition we’ve seen cross the block with the first being a 101-mile example that failed to sell last month at a final bid of $225,000. Our Spotlight car followed suit by failing to sell at a final bid of $228,000. It looks like the market isn’t willing to pay a premium for what is just a paint job and some stitching, even if it’s one of the most limited 992s produced thus far. Time to start letting these go for MSRP folks.

TOGETHER WITH PORSCHE SALT LAKE CITY

There are many Porsche Centers here in the US, and then there are PORSCHE Centers. Those who have a deep-rooted passion for the history of the marque that shows through everything they do, especially their choice of inventory. And Porsche Salt Lake City is one such PORSCHE Center. Serving the Salt Lake Valley since 1958 as one of the first Porsche dealers in the United States, a quick browse of their inventory lets one know just how dedicated to the brand this group of Porsche enthusiasts is.

Take for example this 1993 964 Carrera RS 3.8. Produced as the base to homologate Porsche’s legendary 3.8 RSR race car, the Carrera RS 3.8 was the ultimate evolution of the standard RS as it shed around 600 lbs of weight while increasing horsepower to 300 for a most visceral driving experience. And with only 55 units produced, you’ll be hard-pressed to find another for sale on the showroom floor of another Porsche Center.
