2023 911 Sport Classic
Four months after it last sold at Amelia, this Sport Classic brought the bids

Inspired by the iconic 1973 Carrera RS 2.7, the 992 Sport Classic blends retro design cues with modern performance, featuring a signature ducktail spoiler, Fuchs-style center-lock wheels, and Heritage-inspired livery. Based on the widebody 911 Turbo S platform, it delivers 543 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque exclusively to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual transmission—making it the most powerful manual 911 ever built. Just 1,250 examples were produced globally, each outfitted with unique details like Pepita cloth seat inserts, open-pore wood trim, and gold badging, marking its place as the second installment in Porsche’s Heritage Design series.
This 2023 911 Sport Classic came finished in Paint-to-Sample Dolphin Gray over a Black & Pepita Heritage Design interior and showed just 2,800 miles on the odometer. Optioned with body color-painted Sport Classic wheels, a Burmester sound system, and other desirable features, it carried an original MSRP of $311,000. As expected for such a low-mileage and limited-production model, it appeared to be in excellent condition throughout and was offered with all books and accessories from new.
This is the second time we’ve seen this car cross the block this year, having previously sold for $483,500 (including buyer’s premium) at Broad Arrow’s Amelia Island sale in March. Given the strong performance of recent PTS Porsches, there was a good chance it could surpass that result—and it did, selling this time for $550,000. That makes it the third-highest price ever paid for a Sport Classic at auction.
