2024 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 6-Speed
Eventually, GTS 4.0s will get their due. Just not yet.

The 4.0-liter engine in the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 answered enthusiasts prayers by offering a naturally aspirated alternative to the smaller turbocharged four-cylinders found in other 718 models. Shared with the GT4 and Boxster Spyder, this detuned flat-six produces 394 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed manual or optional PDK gearbox. Acceleration to 60 mph takes as little as 3.8 seconds with the PDK. The GTS 4.0 includes performance features like PASM adaptive suspension, a mechanical limited-slip differential with torque vectoring, and larger brakes. Subtle exterior details and a more street-oriented setup make it a compelling choice for drivers who want high performance without sacrificing day-to-day comfort.
This 2024 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 6-Speed came finished in GT Silver Metallic over a Black/Carmine Red GTS interior package and showed 1,600 miles on the odometer. Other options included Adaptive Sports Seats, GT Sport steering wheel, and extra aluminum and Race-Tex on the inside for an original MSRP of $112,330. As you’d expect, the car looked to be in good condition inside and out, practically brand new, but it was photographed in front of a body shop and didn’t include paint meter readings. Just sayin 😉
Over the last twelve months, 718 GTS 4.0s have averaged $90,000 with a high of $117,000 for an extremely well-specced 912-mile example in Aventurine Green Metallic over an Espresso and Cognac leather interior. I had today’s Spotlight between $95-110,000, with it failing to sell at a final bid of $96,500. I’m guessing the seller wanted way to much as it didn’t sell after the auction either. While I do think these will be see future appreciation, I just don’t think we’re at the floor quite yet.
