2024 911 Dakar

If you're going to PTS, go PTS. Either way, it looks like it brings the money on Dakars

Announced at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 992.1 Dakar was a limited-run 911 built to honor Porsche’s 1984 Paris-Dakar victory, with just 2,500 examples produced worldwide. Power came from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six producing 473 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, paired with a chassis raised 50 mm over a Carrera, plus an additional 30 mm of lift front and rear for up to 191 mm of ground clearance. Purpose-built hardware set it apart from any other 911, including Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires, a fixed CFRP rear wing, GT3-style carbon hood, widened tracks, and extensive stainless-steel underbody protection, making the Dakar a genuinely off-road-capable take on the modern 911.

This 2024 911 Dakar was finished in Paint-to-Sample Cremewhite with the “Rallye 1971” decal set and showed just 847 miles on the odometer. The interior featured Black leather with Race-Tex inserts and Shade Green stitching carried across the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Option highlights included the carbon fiber roof, Burmester audio, the Deviated Stitching and Extended Race-Tex packages, bringing the original MSRP to $262,460. It was also sold with Porsche’s roof rack and accompanying off-road accessories, rounding out the full Dakar experience.

Over the last twelve months, 992.1 Dakar sales have averaged $322,600 with a low of $297,000 and a high of $365,000 for a 143-mile Paint-to-Sample Yachting Blue Metallic car. Our Spotlight example had already traded at $350,000 in June of 2024, but this time it took a meaningful step up, hammering at $400,000. A very strong result, especially given the more subtle PTS White compared to the more exotic spec that previously set the top end.
