2024 911 Dakar

Green brings the Green on this PTS Dakar

Announced at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 992.1 Dakar was a limited-run 911 built to honor Porsche’s 1984 Paris-Dakar victory, with just 2,500 examples produced worldwide. Power came from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six producing 473 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, paired with a chassis raised 50 mm over a Carrera, plus an additional 30 mm of lift front and rear for up to 191 mm of ground clearance. Purpose-built hardware set it apart from any other 911, including Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires, a fixed CFRP rear wing, GT3-style carbon hood, widened tracks, and extensive stainless-steel underbody protection, making the Dakar a genuinely off-road-capable take on the modern 911.

This 2024 911 Dakar was finished in Paint-to-Sample Acid Green with the optional “Rallye 1978” exterior livery, paired with a Black leather and Race-Tex interior featuring Shade Green stitching, matte carbon fiber trim, Racing Yellow seatbelts, and aftermarket Pascha seat inserts. Showing 2,184 miles, it was further optioned with carbon mirror housings, a heated GT Sport steering wheel with additional matte carbon, and more, bringing the original MSRP to $251,630. A bold, highly individualized Dakar for sure.

Over the past twelve months, 911 Dakar values have averaged $331,600, with a low of $300,000 and a high of $400,000 for a Paint-to-Sample Cremewhite example with 847 miles sold last December. I wasn’t sure how the Acid Green and Rallye livery would land, but bidders clearly loved it, pushing our Spotlight Car to a new twelve-month high at a final bid of $405,000.
