2024 911 GT3 R Rennsport
Under MSRP for a limited edition 911? This happens?

Unveiled at Rennsport Reunion VII in 2023, the 911 GT3 R rennsport pushes Porsche’s track car engineering into untamed territory. Based on the 992-generation GT3 R, it ditches FIA rulebooks in favor of pure performance, delivering 611 hp from a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter flat-six that screams to 9,400 rpm. Every body panel is unique, with standout features like digital mirrors, a full-width LED rear strip, and a towering wing inspired by the Martini Racing 935s. Inside, it’s a purpose-built single-seater, stripped to essentials and focused solely on the driver. With just 77 built, it’s one of Porsche’s most extreme and exclusive creations to date.
This 2024 911 GT3 R Rennsport is the 26th of just 77 examples built and shows only 33 km (~21 mi). Finished in exposed carbon-fiber-composite bodywork with Agate Gray Metallic roof pillars, it remains untouched since delivery and still comes literally “in the wrapper.” Included is its original lockable, numbered tool chest containing the car cover, tools, and suspension shims, along with a matching numbered portfolio that houses the specification sheet and original documentation.
With no prior GT3 R rennsport sales to compare, this was our first look at where the market might land. The documentation marked “invoice” showed no listed price, though Porsche literature indicated a starting MSRP of $1,046,000, and that’s before factoring in options like the exposed carbon bodywork, which was probably a pretty-penny. It sold at a final bid of $1,201,000. A track-day-only toy is a tough sell, but let’s hope the winning bidder sends it off to Lanzante so they can try their hand at a road conversion.
