2024 911 S/T

The PTS nod to racer Jackie Ickx brings all the money

To mark the 60th anniversary of the 911, Porsche unveiled the 2024 911 S/T—a limited-edition model that paid tribute to the lightweight, competition-focused 911 ST of 1969. The "S/T" stands for "Sport Touring," a nod to its heritage, with this modern interpretation is engineered for road use rather than track dominance. It blends the raw, high-revving 518 hp 4.0-liter flat-six from the 992 GT3 RS with the clean, understated design of the GT3 Touring, all paired to a manual transmission and lightweight clutch for maximum driver involvement. At just 3,056 pounds, it was the lightest 992-generation 911 up to its debut, designed by Porsche's Weissach team with bespoke lightweight components throughout. Production was limited to 1,963 units—a reference to the 911’s debut year—making the S/T a rare and highly focused celebration of Porsche’s enduring sports car legacy.

This 2024 911 S/T came finished in Paint-to-Sample X Blue, a color created specifically for the 2019 911 Carrera 4S Belgian Legend Edition which celebrated the 75th birthday of the Belgian racing legend, Jackie Ickx. Showing just 67 miles on the odometer, other options on this stunning example included Porsche’s Heritage Design interior, LED Matrix headlights, and more for an original MSRP of $348,180.

This was the second 911 S/T we’ve seen at auction here in the US, with the last example being a 102-mile PTS Auratium Green example that failed to sell at a final bid of $676,000. Our Spotlight car did a bit better, selling at a final bid of $738,888, about $150,000 less than what this car is listed for at Porsche San Luis Obispo. Beautiful car, and one heck of a price.
