2025 911 Carrera GTS Coupe
The first 992.2 GTS to hit the block lands right were expected, but was it enough?

The 992.2 Carrera GTS introduced Porsche’s new “T-Hybrid Platform,” pairing a 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six with two electric motors—one integrated into the turbocharger for near-instant boost response, and another between the engine and PDK gearbox. This hybrid-assisted system produces a combined 532 horsepower and 449 lb-ft of torque, with an overboost function briefly raising output to 542 horsepower. Though not designed for electric-only operation, the setup uses a compact 1.9 kWh battery to deliver seamless torque fill during shifts and reduce lag, making gear changes between first and sixth nearly imperceptible. It’s a technical leap forward for the GTS badge, using hybridization not for efficiency gains but to sharpen throttle response and elevate the driving experience.
This 2025 911 Carrera GTS Coupe represents the first example of the newly updated 992.2 generation to appear at auction. Finished in Slate Grey Neo over a Black Leather and Race-Tex interior, it shows just 340 miles and carries a sticker price of $196,000. Factory options include the Premium Package with Remote ParkAssist, HD-Matrix Design LED headlights, an extended-range fuel tank, and Aerokit in High-Gloss Black. The cabin is accented by Arctic Blue seatbelts and a matching Sport Chrono timer, with comfort and performance upgrades rounding out this early production hybrid GTS.
With no previous auction comps to reference, estimates for this early-production 992.2 Carrera GTS ranged from $180,000 to $220,000, based on preliminary dealer asking prices and market speculation. As noted last week, a swing of $20,000 in either direction was to be expected for the first hybrid GTS to cross the block. This one failed to meet reserve, stalling at a final bid of $206,000. $10k over sticker seems about right, considering we’re going to see more of these hitting the block in the coming months.
