2025 911 Turbo 50 Years

A solid sale for an all-show and no-extra-go special edition

To celebrate half a century of the 911 Turbo, Porsche introduced the 911 Turbo 50 Years edition, a limited-run tribute based on the 992.1 Turbo S. Just 1,974 examples were produced, honoring the year the original Turbo debuted. Drawing design cues from the 1973 911 RSR Turbo, the car features retro-inspired side graphics and Anthracite Grey accents on the rear wing, apron, mirror bases, and intake trim. Inside, Porsche paid homage to early Turbo interiors with McKenzie tartan seat inserts, Turbonite detailing, and special “Turbo 50” badging throughout, including illuminated door sills and embroidered headrests.

This 2025 Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years edition is #410 of just 1,974 examples produced globally to honor five decades of the 911 Turbo. Finished in Aventurine Green Metallic over Black leather with McKenzie Tartan seat inserts, it featured Porsche’s Heritage Design Package and came with an MSRP of $291,000. Showing only 26 miles, this example remains in as-new condition and includes its original window sticker, and original new-car smell.

What I find interesting about the Turbo 50 is that it didn’t get a bump in horsepower by way of some form of engine package. Instead, it’s all looks with the same “go” as your standard Turbo S. Historically, these all-badge-and-no-go cars don’t perform quite as well as special editions with a bump in power, but as this was just the second car to cross the block (and the first to sell), it still sold for a decent sum above MSRP, hammering at a final bid of $341,000, almost hitting the high estimate.
