2026 911 Targa 4 GTS
Are 992.2 GTS finally starting to gather some interest from bidders?

The 2026 911 GTS marks a major turning point for the model, centered on its new T-Hybrid powertrain. It’s the first production 911 to use Porsche’s lightweight hybrid system, pairing a revised flat-six with a permanently excited synchronous motor integrated into the gearbox that provides an additional 150 Nm of torque and 40 kW of power. The system also incorporates an electric motor within the turbocharger, positioned between the compressor and turbine wheels to spool the turbo instantly and virtually eliminate lag. It’s a historic shift for the GTS, bringing motorsport-derived hybrid tech to the 911 without losing the character that defines the model.
This 2026 911 Targa 4 GTS was finished in Chalk over a Black and Cohiba Brown Exclusive Manufaktur leather interior and showed just 17 miles. It came nicely optioned with the Premium Package, Burmester High-End Surround Sound, heated and ventilated 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, matte carbon-fiber interior trim, and a heated GT Sport steering wheel with carbon-fiber accents. Additional equipment included a Porsche Design subsecond clock, HD-Matrix headlights in black, Exclusive Design taillights, Power Steering Plus, Front Axle Lift, titanium Sport Tailpipes, and the high-gloss black Exterior Package for an original MSRP of $244,530. A highly specced, essentially delivery-mileage example of the new GTS.
Over the past few months, GTS models of any kind have had a tough time at auction, with only two of the seven brought to market finding homes. We still haven’t seen a Targa 4 GTS hammer sold, as the only prior example stalled at $237,500 last month. Our Spotlight car followed the same path at first, failing to sell at a final bid of $240,500, but a post-auction offer sealed the deal at $250,000. A strong result given how soft the early GTS market has been.
